Stanton Specialist Clinics

Our clinics are divided into three areas; we offer the core specialist services on site in keeping with the extent of our facility. What we are unable to offer on site we have regular visitations from a variety of specialists, which mostly come from Edmonton, Alberta.

The clinics are situated:

The Stanton Medical Clinic: is in the hospital and accommodates our resident Pediatricians, Gynecology/Obstetrics, Orthopedics and General Surgery with an onsite Breast Care Patient Navigator.

Visiting Specialists: Urology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Neurology/Orthopedic back specialist, Obstetrical Oncologist, Gynecological Urologist and a Pediatric Allergist.

The Stanton Medical Centre:is situated just peripheral of the hospital but short walking distance. This accommodates our resident Internal medicine, Otorhinolaryngologist, Diabetic Program and an onsite Audiologist.

Visiting Specialists: Rheumatologist, Neurologist, Adult Cardiologist, General Oncologist, Nephrologist and an on line Dermatologist.

The Stanton Ophthalmology Clinic: this is the third clinic which is based downtown Yellowknife and deals with a wide variety of ophthalmic conditions and offers surgical procedures by a resident Ophthalmologist and supported by a team of highly trained ophthalmic technologists.

Although all other programs carry out Medical Travel Clinics to many of our northern communities, the ophthalmology team is the only one that covers every community in the north.
